Neighbors
Message from the Director
Welcome to the George Washington University’ Neighbors Website. This online portal is intended to highlight information that you as a neighbor of GW might find useful and interesting. As I have said throughout my time with you, GW takes its role as a neighborhood institution seriously and is committed to sharing its rich cultural, intellectual and physical resources whenever it is possible.
We are committed to being responsive to community concerns and comments from disruptive student behavior to noise and trash complaints. There are a variety of ways to reach us. If you need to submit a report about off-campus student behavior, you can use the Online Report Form. This will enable the GW Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities to launch an investigation. For non-student-related issues regarding the Foggy Bottom or Mount Vernon Campuses, you can fill out a Community Facility & Maintenance Ticket. GW remains committed to be a good neighbor and we continue to work with our neighbors to support a positive community environment.
Neighborhood Benefits
We are proud to offer our neighbors the opportunity to discover the variety of programs and culture at GW. We invite you to take a few moments and explore the opportunities available.

FRIENDS of Foggy Bottom
GW is committed to maintaining an open avenue of communication with our Foggy Bottom neighbors. For over 20 years, GW has launched a wide variety of partnerships that underscore shared interests and needs. Through the neighborhood’s FRIENDS group, which was formed in 2002, we facilitate dialogue and fellowship. The FRIENDS group meets monthly at locations throughout the neighborhood, providing community members with an opportunity to engage with the university.
